AT&T Wants to Test Potential Shared Spectrum

AT&T has filed paperwork with the Federal Communications Commission seeking an experimental license to conduct 5G technology trials using spectrum in the 3.4-3.6 GHz, 3.7-4.2 GHz, 14.5-15.35 GHz and 27.5-28.5 GHz bands.

What all those bands have in common is that they are licensed to government users on a primary basis, but are expected to be candidates for shared use, allowing AT&T and other service providers to use the spectrum for mobile service as well.
