SK Telekom to Demonstrate 20 Gbps 5G Using Nokia Platform

SK Telecom will demonstrate a fifth generation access speed of 20 Gbps at the Mobile World Congress, according to Pulse News, using a Nokia platform.

SK Telecom already had demonstrated transmission at 19.1 Gbps using a Nokia platform in September 2015.

Of course, orders of magnitude more bandwidth is a startling aspect of planned 5G networks, but is only one of the major changes, notably including virtualized capabilities that allow network features to be tuned or personalized according to key app requirements.
