Sprint Touts J.D. Power Network Reliability Results

Sprint now ranks second for mobile network quality in five out of six U.S. geographic regions, says Sprint, quoting new J.D. Power data.

Sprint’s interpretation of drive test data from Nielsen, covering the top 106 metropolitan markets in the United States, is that Sprint’s reliability now beats T-Mobile’s and performs within one percent of AT&T and Verizon, Sprint says.

In the study’s Power Circle Ratings Sprint received “Better than Most” in the Southwest, and “Above Average” in the Northeast, Southeast, North Central and West, Sprint says.

Sprint’s latest rankings are deemed a “significant improvement” from results of one year ago, when Sprint finished last or tied for third in three segments and placed third in two.

Sprint in  August 2014 finished last in every region by a large margin, the company notes, as evidence of the degree of improvement.
