High prices are a barrier to mass adoption of any product by consumers. And while that is true for mobile broadband use in lower-income countries, it is by no means the major barrier. Instead, literacy and other issues account for most of the reason consumers do not buy and use mobile broadband, according to GSMA Intelligence.
