Internet Society to Talk about Fixed Wireless at Spectrum Futures

Rajnesh Singh
Fixed wireless has emerged as among the most important new trends relevant for lower-cost Internet access in 2016, due in part to new work being conducted by Facebook to develop lower-cost, open source fixed wireless platforms, by Google Fiber’s new interest in using fixed wireless to extend the reach of its access networks more affordably, and by clear interest by AT&T and Verizon in using fixed wireless as a major access platform as well.

Rajnesh Singh, Internet Society director for Asia, has direct experience with the use of fixed  wireless to provide Internet access services to villagers in South Asia, and will share some of his experiences at Spectrum Futures, to be held 19-21 October, 2016 in Singapore.
