One element of the Spectrum Futures conference in Singapore, 19-21 October 2016, is the effort not only to gather communications regulators and access providers from across South Asia and Southeast Asia, but also to provide a chance to learn from the experiences of regulators and ISPs in other regions.

For that reason subject matter experts from Colombia and Egypt will speaking at the event. Mohamed El-Moghazi, for example, is with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt, and director of that body's radio spectrum research division.

As regulators grapple with how to supply more spectrum for Internet access for their citizens, El-Moghazi will shed some light on what is being done in Egypt, and how that might apply across South Asia and Southeast Asia.
