Though regulatory changes will be needed, the number of mobile virtual network operators across Asia, the globe’s largest single mobile region, could grow dramatically. Wholesale access rules are the easiest way to encourage new entrants.
The reason is simply that some 66 percent of the world’s MVNOs operate in the Europea region alone. Virtually everywhere else, the MVNO phenomena is less developed.
