The most-practical way to describe the value of 5G for any mobile operator is that it reduces cost per bit. That is a mandatory requirement in a business where data consumption grows exponentially, but consumer and business budgets grow only incrementally, if at all.
In other words, the existential problem is that networks must continually be upgraded to deliver more data, while retail customer ability to pay grows only slightly, if at all.
