Ericsson, Cisco Unify Mobile, Wi-Fi

Ericsson and Cisco have launched a new Wi-Fi solution called “Evolved Wi-Fi Networks” (EWN). that combines Ericsson's 3GPP platform and apps with  Cisco's Wi-Fi portfolio, allowing Ericsson indoor small cells to work with Cisco Wi-Fi platforms, creating a way for mobile service provider services to be supplied over Wi-Fi connections, and to use either the mobile or Wi-Fi infrastructure to maintain quality of service.

EWN also allows mobile operators to offer all their core mobile services over Wi-Fi.
