Control and User Plane Separation is Key to New 5G Core Network
T5G will use a new core network featuring separation of control and user planes, which virtualizes the network, allowing network management element functions to be placed anywhere it makes sense. That same approach underlies other forms of virtualization designed to increase flexibility and also lessen cost.
