Costs for internet of things modules optimized for LTE-M, NB IoT and 5G IoT mobile platforms are dropping fast enough that they will drive growth of IoT connections overall, according to Mobile Experts.
Standard 2G, 3G or 4G connections that have underpinned mobile network IoT will lose favor as the economics of the specialized platforms improves.
