It always is a good rule to assume that mobile consumers are rational, and are capable of evaluating value and price when buying and using services, apps and devices. So it should come as no surprise that a new survey by Strategy Analytics finds consumers of all ages use less than 5 Gbytes of mobile internet data, and double to three times that much Wi-Fi data every month.
That makes sense as much Wi-Fi usage represents no incremental charges and the higher cost per gigabyte of mobile data, compared to fixed networks (which terminate in Wi-Fi).
