5G fixed wireless remains a somewhat-controversial access platform, but price-performance has really improved. Verizon, for example, now offers speeds up to 300 Mbps for between $50 a month to $70 a month, depending on whether a customer also buys Verizon mobile service.
Since roughly half the U.S. market currently buys service operating between 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps, the 300 Mbps offer, when available, should appeal to at least half the current market.
Keep in mind the offer alslo comes with other enticements, such as discounts on streaming services including Disney and AMC, a Wi-Fi 6 router and a Google Nest device.
