CBRS Auctions After 34 Rounds: National Prices About 15 Cents per MHz-POP; 47 Cents per MHz-POP in Los Angeles, New York, D.C.

One would normally expect the cost of licensed mobile operator spectrum to be highest in the biggest markets that have high concentrations of potential users, and, so far, the auctions for Citizens Broadband Radio Service Priority Access licenses are showing that pattern.

Prices in Los Angeles county now, after round 34 of the auction, are up to 46.5 cents per MHz-POP. Prices in Queens, N.Y. and New York, N.Y. have reached about 47 cents per MHz-POP.

Looking at aggregated state prices, however, Hawaii already has reached 32.6 cents per MHz-POP, higher than California, New York, the District of Columbia, Texas and Ohio.
