Lower Cost Per Bit is One Way 5G is Like 4G

5G arguably is as important for mobile operator capacity reinforcement as it is for customer experience. As end user capacity demand continues to grow, capacity supply is a key issue for connectivity suppliers. Some might argue that we could rely on 4G to provide capacity gains, irrespective of future use cases and revenue

As arguably was also the case for 4G, 5G will provide direct benefits for suppliers in the form of much-lower cost per bit. The costs will decline an order of magnitude for mid-band deployments, but as much as two orders of magnitude for millimeter-wave networks.
