An unnamed U.S. mobile operator has signed a deal to allow up to 40 million of its handsets to Boingo’s network of public Wi-Fi hotspots.
Logic would suggest the deal is with T-Mobile US, given that carrier’s past association with Boingo access services.
Both T-Mobile US and Sprint have in excess of 50 million subscribers, so it could theoretically be either carrier, but many of us guess T-Mobile US is about to announce a new initiative aimed at business customers, and the Boingo network arguably is built to support business users.
